Love your home and garden

The Nottingham City Homes and gardens are now more important than ever. NCH wants to hear what residents have been doing to transform their home and gardens during lockdown. This could be baking a cake, redecorating a room in their home, growing their own vegetables or carefully looking after their favourite plant.

Love your home and garden is a way for residents to share their home and garden love stories. Further details can be found on NCH Facebook page and posting your pics.

The best of the pictures may also be put forward as entrants in this year’s Garden Competition.

Garden Competition

Their Garden Competition has been running for over 100 years. This year, the coronavirus pandemic has meant that for the first time they’re having to introduce a few changes to our normal format. What hasn’t changed is that they still want to recognise the genuine pride taken by Nottingham residents for looking after their home and gardens.

This year’s categories are:

o   Best edible garden (indoor or outdoor)

o   Best use of outdoor space

o   Most colourful garden (indoor or outdoor)

o   NCH young gardener, for 18 year old and under

o   Best garden transformation

o   Most inspiring home improvement story

The closing date for entries is Friday 31 July. Visit their website for  full details.
