The National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has emerged victorious in the 2024 Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show held at Kabiru-ini Showground, being recognized as the best in the Youth Empowerment and Advocacy category.

During the event, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua visited NACADA’s stand and commended the Authority for its critical role in youth empowerment and advocacy. He emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts to support the nation’s youth.

NACADA’s impressive exhibition showcased its ongoing initiatives to educate the public, particularly young people, about the dangers of drug and substance abuse. The stand provided valuable information on available resources for rehabilitation and recovery, featuring interactive exhibits and informative sessions that engaged both visitors and judges.

In recognition of its outstanding contributions, NACADA was awarded a trophy presented by Gachagua, who was accompanied by Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga. This accolade highlights the Authority’s impactful presence at the event.

NACADA CEO Anthony Omerikwa expressed gratitude for the recognition, reaffirming the Authority’s commitment to combating alcohol and drug abuse while empowering the youth of the nation.
