Tesco shoppers have been alerted to the impending expiration of millions of Clubcard vouchers. The popular supermarket issues Clubcard vouchers in February, May, August, and November, all of which come with a two-year lifespan.
Customers who received vouchers in August 2021 have been contacted by Tesco, notifying them that these vouchers are due to expire on August 31 this year. The email sent to customers reads: “You have Clubcard vouchers that are about to expire.”
Earning Clubcard points is a simple process, with every £1 spent at Tesco stores or online translating to one Clubcard point. Each Clubcard point is equivalent to 1p, and once you accumulate 150 points, you can exchange them for a £1.50 voucher. From there, you can continue to collect points and redeem vouchers at 50p intervals.
Previously, Tesco customers had the option to triple the value of their Clubcard points when using them with “Rewards Partners,” which included well-known brands like Pizza Express, Disney+, Hotels.com, and more. However, as of June, the system was changed, allowing shoppers to double their points rather than tripling them.
A spokesperson from Tesco explained, “Clubcard unlocks the best value from Tesco – from thousands of exclusive deals through Clubcard Prices, to money off your groceries and fuel, or accessing double the value of your vouchers with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners. Millions of people tap their Tesco Clubcard every time they shop, benefiting from access to more than 8,000 weekly deals on Clubcard Prices. And with potential savings of up to £351 a year, more people than ever before are making the most of the immediate value that Tesco Clubcard offers. We are making a change to how members can use their vouchers with our Reward Partners, but they will still be able to unlock great value in the same range of ways as before.”
Tesco customers are encouraged to check their Clubcard accounts and make use of their expiring vouchers before they lose the opportunity to do so. Make the most of your Clubcard points and enjoy the rewards they offer!
