Scientists and decision-makers alike are becoming more aware about the worsening conditions for people brought on by increasing levels of pollution in the air and water.

It is tough to exaggerate the value of ambient (outside) air pollution for its various health risks, among them heart disease, lung cancer, and strokes. Millions of people worldwide suffer damage by fine particulate matter, a harmful pollutant that can be found in rural as well as urban locations. Also, pollutants increases the risk of respiratory diseases and other long-term illnesses in humans as well as fertility loss of land due to increasing temperatures and damage to ecosystems.

Pollution is not only affecting our health but also significantly damaging our environment. Global ecosystems’ resilience and biodiversity are in threat due to alarming trends such as increasing ocean levels, ozone layer depletion, and habitat loss. For instance, it has been established that the deposition of microplastics in their in oceans increases the height and stability of sea foam, causing further harm to marine life.

It is crucial that individuals, governments, and groups unite in creating sustainable practices that minimize pollution and the entire world struggles with these issues. Choosing policies that aim at minimizing emissions and support renewable energy sources is necessary for maintaining both individual well-being and the well being of the planet.

While pollution keeps compromising not just human well-being but also the fundamental components of the environment upon which humanity lives and the matter seems urgent and required awareness and action right away.
